SPECIAL GUEST TAMRA BARNEY JOINS THE 2ND ANNUAL ‘CHIP & SALSA’ CINCO DE MAYO FIESTA AT TACOS & TEQUILA
The original cougar is back. Real Housewife of Orange County star Tamra Barney, will join the second annual ‘CHiP and Salsa’ Cinco de Mayo fiesta with former “CHiPs” star Erik Estrada, sizzling food and drink specials and special little guests, the Half Pint Brawlers.
Barney, who was on hand at T&T to host its first ever Cougars and Cuervo with handsome boyfriend Eddie Judge, will steam up the spicy Mexican holiday with her delicious Latino man. Barney, the sexiest of all the Housewives is known for recently getting divorced and heating up the small screen this season with Judge.
Also on hand for Cinco, are the Half Pint Brawlers, a unique wrestling troupe. The Brawlers are best known for the hysterical bar scene in Jackass 3D and are guaranteed to show Cinco de Mayo patrons how to party hardy. The mayhem will begin Thursday, May 5, at 11 a.m. with $5 shots of pineapple infused Jose Cuervo Tradicional, $5 Dos Equis, $5 Golden Toro shots, made with Jose Cuervo Silver and dropped into Red Bull and a special Cinco de Mayo menu including sizzling habanero wings, quesadillas, nachos, floutas and chips, guacamole and salsa.
T&T will also unveil its newest drink, “Ponch’s Punch,” made with Cuervo Traditional Reposado, Peach Schnapps, Chambord, Midori, cherry liqueur, squeeze of fresh lime and garnished with a lemon wheel and watermelon cube.
In addition, Barney, Estrada and the Half Pint Brawlers will host T&T’s “How Low Can You Go” limbo contest, where daring revelers can compete with the feisty entertainers in the loco limbo contest and chance to win crazy Cinco cocktails and no T&T fiesta would be complete without a photo booth contest.
Tacos & Tequila embodies the cool modernism of Mexico City while incorporating traditional elements of Mexican style and high-end Las Vegas panache. The color mixture of old and new creates a vivid picture of brushed aluminum, dark wood, leather, bright fabrics and colored glass. The focal point of T&T’s design is its abstract sombrero composed of 20 brushed-aluminum panels featuring thousands of laser-cut images, including two 30-foot dancing, tequila-drinking skeletons. Lit from within, the breathtaking panels stretch across the entire length of the restaurant floor and across the common area, connecting the T&T retail store and walk-up daiquiri bar.
