CABO WABO CANTINA KICKS OFF “SAMMY’S BATTLE OF THE BANDS”

Sammy’s Weekly Competition Starts Sunday, May 1st

Sammy Hagar’s rockin’ Las Vegas cantina will host 12 weeks of the Strip’s most intense battle of the bands competition. Starting Sunday, May 1, “Sammy’s Battle of the Bands,” hosted by X-107.5 “Local’s Live,” will jam out at Cabo Wabo Cantina with the hottest local bands competing for crowd approval and amazing prizes.

Bands will take Hagar’s personal stage for a chance to give it all they’ve got and prove worthy to open for Holiday Havoc 2011 and $5,000 in Sam Ash merchandise. Three jamming crews will have 30 minutes to convince the crowd they have what it takes to move on to the semi-finals starting Sunday, July 31. The final showdown will be held Sunday, September 18 with the winner taking all.

Each band will have 20 minutes to set up for performance and 30 minutes to perform. The winner each night will be determined by crowd response. The top seven bands will return for the semi-finals.

Cabo Wabo Cantina will celebrate one year of rockin’ the Las Vegas Strip with an anniversary party that will make Sammy proud. Friday, December 3, Cabo Wabo will party the night away with “Mas Tequila,” autographed Sammy Hagar giveaways, a Red Rocker look-alike karaoke contest and plenty of red rockin’ fun.

Cabo Wabo’s one year celebration will kick off at 9:30 p.m. with a ‘Red Rocker Look-Alike Karaoke Contest.’ Fans will have the opportunity to perform live on Hagar’s personal stage for a chance to win one of his signature autographed guitars. Catch the Pro Games Every Thursday at Cabo Wabo Cantina

Cabo Wabo Cantina will kick off Pro Football Thursdays with host Sammy Hagar Thursday, November 11. The original red rocker will return to rock his Vegas cantina with killer food and drink specials as the Baltimore Ravens take on the Atlanta Falcons during NFL’s official kickoff of Thursday night football. This event is open to the public.

Launching on November 11 and ongoing throughout the remainder of the NFL season, Cabo Wabo will host Pro Football Thursdays starting at 5 p.m. The weekly event, hosted by X-107.5’s Manley, will include a slew of food and drink specials including $5 buckets of chicken nachos and fries, $10 buckets of chicken wings, $3 Mike’s Hard Lemonade cocktails and complimentary shots of Cabo Wabo Tequila to those wearing the winning team’s jersey at the end of the game.

Football fans will catch all the NFL excitement, center-Strip on 10 big screen televisions throughout the venue. To keep the crowd going wild, Cabo Wabo’s Wheel of Deals will spin every touchdown revealing exciting giveaways including concert tickets and X-107.5 swag throughout the night.
