Slayton’s Politically Incorrect Comedy Show Returns to Night Owl Showroom (January 27, 2011 through April 2, 2011)

Tickets are now available to see Bobby Slayton “The Pit Bull of Comedy,” who will headline in the Night Owl Showroom at Hooters Casino Hotel beginning January, 27, 2011 through April 2, 2011 for a limited engagement. Tickets are $39.95 per person and may be purchased on-line at www.hooterscasinohotel.com or by calling 866-LVHoots. Slayton’s show will run Thursday, Friday and Saturday with performances taking place at 8:30 p.m.

In his hilarious 80-minute stand-up act, Slayton will take on every stereotype under the sun with his quick-witted, acid-tongued style. From the state of your marriage to the state of the union, Slayton dissects it all with his signature politically incorrect manner that has sold out comedy clubs across the country and has most recently been featured in his own Showtime stand-up special “Born to be Bobby”. Needless to say, Slayton will have audiences laughing at things they shouldn’t. The show will also feature comedian Robert Duchaine as an opening act. Guests must be 21 or older.

“There’s no better place on earth than Hooters Casino Hotel to launch my return to Vegas,” said Bobby Slayton. “Hooters is basically everything I want in one place; Gaming, booze, chicken wings, and Hooters. If they put in a putting green and cigar shop, they could just change the name to Nirvana!” Slayton continued, “With the hours of material from my CDs, Showtime special, audience reaction, the constant turmoil of the world and everyday life, you can be sure my act will never be the same. And remember, if you can’t laugh at yourself, make fun of other people!”

Gary Gregg, Head Hooter and COO of Hooters Casino Hotel said, “It’s with great excitement that we welcome back Bobby Slayton. He was the first-ever headliner to perform in the Night Owl Showroom. We’re thrilled to have his show return to Hooters Casino in honor of the property’s five year anniversary. We know that his intense comedic style is a huge draw. Needless to say, we feel this is a match made in heaven.”

Audiences around the country may recognize Slayton from his scene-stealing roles in movies such as “Get Shorty,” “Ed Wood,” “Bandits” and “Dreamgirls.” Most recently, Slayton appeared in his own stand-up Showtime special titled “Born to be Bobby”. He’s been seen on dozens of television shows including “The Tonight Show” and “Politically Incorrect.” Slayton’s many appearances on HBO have included “Comic Relief “and his own stand-up special. He was a series regular on the HBO series “Mind of a Married Man,” and played ‘Joey Bishop’ opposite Ray Liotta and Joe Mantegna in the critically acclaimed film, “The Rat Pack.” Slayton’s distinctive gravelly voice has often been heard on animated shows like “Dr. Katz’” and “Family Guy,” as well as many popular radio shows across the country including Howard Stern, Kevin & Bean, and Tom Leykis. A true comic’s comic, Slayton was voted “Funniest stand-up comic of the year” by the American Comedy Awards and is featured on Comedy Central’s list of the “100 Greatest Stand-ups of All Time.”

Norm Crosby, The Master of the Malaprop, to Play The Orleans Showroom February 4-5

Renowned funnyman and with a knack for intelligent wordplay, Norm Crosby brings his trademark act to The Orleans Showroom, February 4 and 5, each evening at 8 p.m.

Norm Crosby is known as The Master of the Malaprop, for his ability to substitute words for similar sounding words to create a phrase that ultimately makes little sense, but is typically funny. His use of malapropisms and quick wit became lucrative as he began a stand-up career in the 50s as part of a comedy act with Ethan Eichrodt. Following a smash run as part of this duo in Las Vegas, Crosby found success going solo, then going on to become a staple on the talk, variety and game show circuit in every decade since the 60s.

Crosby has performed or been a guest on multiple occasions on legendary television shows such as, The Merv Griffin Show, The Ed Sullivan Show, The Dean Martin Comedy Hour and The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson, among countless others. He has also appeared in popular game shows, including The Hollywood Squares, Liar’s Club, Beat the Clock, and Celebrity Sweepstakes. In 2004, Crosby appeared on Last Comic Standing as part of the “Roast Challenge.” Crosby is among the multiple celebrities who have co-hosted and contributed to the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon.

As an actor, Crosby has appeared on television shows such as Roseanne, The Love Boat, Diagnosis Murder, Law and Order and The Larry Sanders Show, to name a few. On film, he has lent his voice to Adam Sandler’s Eight Crazy Nights and Bob Saget’s Farce of the Penguins.

Crosby was a fixture on The Dean Martin Celebrity Roasts on NBC, ridiculing and embarrassing his fellow comedians and entertainers. In 1967 he recorded a comedy record, She Wouldn’t Eat The Mushrooms, which is now available on CD.

Showtime is 8 p.m. Tickets are available starting from $19.95, plus tax and convenience fees, and can be purchased by calling the Box Office at 702.365.7075 or visiting www.orleanscasino.com. Save on convenience fees by purchasing the tickets in person at Coast Casinos.

Eddie Rivkin’s CUI: Comics Under the Influence

Comics Under the InfluenceSin City’s hottest comedians headline Sin City’s coolest new venue! If you like your comedy raw and uncensored, this is the show for you! Continuing the grand opening celebration of Nico Santucci and Dave Navarro’s vintage ultra lounge and restaurant, on June 10th, 2010, the Black Door Bar & Grill and Eddie Rivkin have gathered a modern day Rat Pack of the funniest, dirtiest, raunchiest comics in Las Vegas to premiere a new weekly off-strip comedy night.

Eddie Rivkin said, “I think these guys will develop into a great comedy pack, working off of each other’s material and personas creating something very unique in Vegas and bookable around the country. Vaguely resembling the way the Rat Pack ran Vegas nightlife in the 60′s, this show will be raw, raunchy, and very, very NOT PC. ”

“The Black Door Bar & Grill is an UPSCALE ultra lounge for rockers and rock music, tourists and locals, and reminiscent of a 60′s New York underground club. Owner Nico Santucci approached me and said he wanted a late night Rat Pack-esque, Lenny Bruce-type, edgy comedy show for his newest venue catering to fans of rock music. That’s exactly what I am going to give him!” Rivkin said.

Featuring national touring headliner Greg Vacceriello, and Las Vegas headliners, KOMP 92.3′s Brandon “Gooch” Hahn, Brandt Tobler, Matt Markman, “Mr. Insensitive” Mark Minguey, and MNR RAW Comedy creator Diaz Mackie, Eddie Rivkin’s “CUI: Comics Under the Influence” is destined to be a huge hit with adult audiences from all walks of life, and become the destination for late night entertainment in Las Vegas.
